With nearly two decades at Kunzman & Associates, Jason Sugden blends his professional role with a personal passion for performance and hot rods. Whether on the job or in the shop, he brings hands-on expertise and real-world experience to every build.
How long have you worked at Kunzman?
18 years.
What’s your favorite part about your job?
We all have to work—but I’m lucky enough to have a job that combines my career with my passion.
What industry trend are you most excited about for 2024?
Drag-and-drive events. It’s amazing to watch a car run a 6.73-second quarter-mile and then drive it to the next track, sometimes hours away.
What’s your current ride (or project)?
I drive a 426 stroker SRT Jeep and I’ve been slowly working on a ’76 Cutlass I bought in high school. But honestly, my “real” projects are the hot rods that roll through the Kunzman building—like Mike’s Nova (2022 Milan Dragway Champion), our ’69 C10 shop truck, and the occasional AMX.
The best part? I get to install the products we represent, give direct feedback to manufacturers, and share those real experiences at shows and events.
Fun fact?
I have two amazing daughters I’m incredibly proud of. I grew up playing travel hockey, and I’ll eat just about anything—as long as it doesn’t have onions!
